Workouts

Workouts — Eat a some. Move some. I can’t guarantee you’ll have the buffest bod on the beach, but I can guarantee you’ll feel better about yourself after the BBQ.

“No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch.”

first gym2_smallFull confession, I am not a workout professional, and I don’t even play one on TV. Nonetheless, I’ve been going to the gym regularly for 30 years or so. I mountain bike, road bike…I like being fit (-ish). Seriously, I measure fitness by how well my pants fit, and how much guilt I don’t feel if I have the Dirty Tots at Fat Dan’s. The workouts you find here were born of necessity in our state’s mandatory stay-at-home during the Coronavirus epidemic. These workouts can be done with body weight and some really simple bands. One of the first casualties of fitness during Cornavirus for me was the gym closing. The second was trying to find weights to purchase…anywhere. With none to be found, I fashioned a home gym in my garage with a yoga mat from Target, and some towels put original_gym_smallon the garage floor. Slowly, I added some equipment as it became available. First suspension training bands, then resistance bands and a balance ball, and finally a jump rope. That’s it. These workouts are designed to be done in 30-40 minutes and work your full body.
